Solar High Mast

High masts integrated with solar PV and battery lighting systems.

Solar High Mast — image 1
Overview

Solar high masts combine a conventional raise-and-lower high mast with an integrated solar photovoltaic and battery system, delivering grid-independent lighting for large open areas. They are ideal for locations where a mains supply is unreliable, expensive to extend, or where energy self-sufficiency is a project goal.

Ironic Steel supplies solar high masts as hot-dip galvanized polygonal masts with the lantern carriage, PV module mounting, battery enclosure and charge-control provisions integrated into the structure. LED luminaires and system sizing are matched to the required lighting hours and autonomy.

Structures are engineered for the combined luminaire and PV load and the site wind zone, with foundation details supplied.
